Overview

AMcBroom Media created a comprehensive commercial photography library for the Game of Thrones Studio Tour, documenting the visitor experience, exhibits, environments and key details across the attraction.

The aim was to produce a broad, flexible collection of images that could support marketing, PR, digital content and ongoing communications, while maintaining a consistent visual approach across a complex and highly detailed visitor experience.

The Brief

The Studio Tour required a substantial image library capable of representing the attraction across multiple channels and audiences.

The photography needed to cover more than the headline exhibits. It had to capture the scale of the spaces, the detail of costumes and props, interactive elements, visitor experiences and the atmosphere of the tour as a whole.

The result needed to be visually strong, but also practical enough to give the marketing team a wide range of usable assets over time.

Our Approach

The photography was planned around a mix of wide establishing views, environmental images, detailed close-ups and people interacting with the exhibits.

Careful attention was paid to composition, lighting and perspective so the images felt consistent despite the variety of spaces and subject matter.

The project also included specialist imagery such as photogrammetry and technical capture where required, extending the usefulness of the photography beyond conventional marketing images.

The Challenge

The challenge was to create a large volume of imagery without making the library feel repetitive. The Studio Tour contains many distinct environments, props and interactive elements, so the photography had to show breadth while retaining a clear visual identity.

Working within a visitor attraction also meant balancing production requirements with the practical realities of the space, access and people moving through it.

The Outcome

The finished image library gave the Game of Thrones Studio Tour a substantial bank of professional photography covering the attraction from multiple perspectives.

The images could be used across websites, press, social media, promotional campaigns, advertising and future communications, providing the team with a flexible visual resource rather than a small set of one-off campaign images.

What This Project Demonstrates

A well-planned commercial image library can cover people, environments, exhibits and detail while maintaining a consistent visual approach across multiple uses.

Key Takeaways

Strong image libraries give organisations flexible content for years, not just one campaign.
